FitFun! II Starting February 17th, 2026

I believe it's so important for us that do anything athletic with our dogs to know and understand how, why and when we should do fitness exercises for warm-up, cool down or just for fun to teach our dogs something new and keep their brains and body happy, active and fit. This is a fabulous way for you to be able to train your dog at home inside your house with very little space required. These exercises can be very influential and healing for dogs that need a bit of physical therapy for recovering from an injury. It's a wonderful training path for puppies to learn about proprioception and for senior dogs to help keep their muscles and bones strong. Watch the video on the Training page to learn more. Prerequisite- FitFun! I

Equipment needed: Lots of high value treats and toys.

COOPERATIVE CARE Starting February 19, 2026

Teaching our dogs to relax and allow us to care for them even when it’s uncomfortable is a lifetime skill! Creating a positive C.E.R. (Conditioned Emotional Response) for your dog to learn to *love* grooming in general and nail trimming in particular, rather than just tolerate or worse, a fight. It’s important to be patient and go at your dog’s pace and work through all the layers without jumping ahead. Rather than focus on “nail cutting”, focus on your dog’s acceptance, relaxation and comfort. When you do things cooperatively, it builds trust with your dog. Monitor your dog’s T.E.M.P. at all stages. Your dedication to teaching this skill will be worthwhile! It’s an investment of your time that pays big dividends throughout your dog’s entire life.

Equipment:
Clicker
A flat mat
Target stick
A mix of HIGH value treats-make sure some are *outrageously* high value,
A nail grinder/dremel or clippers that you will use along with any other grooming tools that you would like to create a positive response for your dog.
A variety of random objects that are unimportant for your dog that you can rotate (use what you have readily available).
Different containers to hold your objects, nail grinder and nail clippers

Starting Feb. 12, 2026 from 6:30-7:30 PM. Classes are for 6 weeks

Head Halter/Muzzle Training Success!

There have been many tools people use to control their dog. A collar and leash, a harness, different types of collars, etc. The head halter (Halti or Gentle Leader), is the next generation of such training aids to avoid pulling and lunging. If your only option for redirecting their attention elsewhere, you will end up "dragging" them away while they continue to bark, lunge, etc. You are actually rewarding them for their actions. Dogs do what's reinforcing. pulling on leash is one of those BIG reinforcers! The same rules apply for teaching your dog to learn to love wearing their muzzle. We teach them that it's a valuable and highly reinforcing behavior. Equipment required: A properly fitting head halter or muzzle A clicker High value treats Favorite toys

Puppy & Doggie Socials

We offer a safe, organized and positive environment for your puppy to learn to interact with other age appropriate puppies. Introducing your pup to different people, places and appropriate dogs at a young age sets them up for a balanced and confident future. Allowing them to explore, investigate and manipulate their environment on their terms teaches them to interact with other pups and make safe and good choices. These exposures should continue into adulthood to maintain an outgoing and sociable dog. This will also set them up for better learning as they attend classes or lessons in the future, By continuing to offer puppies and dogs a wide variety of experiences during their first year of life is also helpful in preventing separation-related behavior. Equipment required: High value treats

Social dates: Jan. 17, Feb. 21, 2026. Held on Saturdays Social for dogs 7 months and older-10:00-11:00 Social for puppies under 7 months old: 11:30-12:30
